Sounds like Massa may be going back to Williams... as long as Bottas takes the Merc seat....

Bit suprised Williams might go for Massa, surely they should be bringing a young 'un through?

I guess its down to a bit of compromise.  Massa's replacement, Stroll, brings a lot of money to the team but no F1 experience.  Williams will need a driver with experience to help set up the car and for input to the development that will be part of next season following all the aero, tyre etc rule changes.

Quite a surprise. I kind of wish Button got the drive at Mercedes. Him and Lewis got on well.

Button in a Williams would have been interesting, too.

Williams has Martini as a sponsor and I read that part of that deal is 1 driver over 21 years old which is one reason Massa is the first choice.

I cant blame Massa for coming back and it looks like Mercedes will buy him back possibly by paying his salary and also giving (or subsidising heavily) the engines for Williams for at least next season giving them the money to further develop their cars. So win win for Williams
