As above really, not been an active poster on here but have popped in now and then to see how things were going.

Definitely a shame for you to be closing as it seems you had a great community feel going on.

Half expected this as it has been really quiet of late - still going to be very sad to see it go though. :friends: Completely understand the decision though - can't have been too easy after the work you've put in.

As others have said this is definitely the friendliest places I've ever spent time on in interweb land - a true reflection of it's management and members. I've made some great friends and glad to say most of them have become more than virtual! I will never forget the (many forms of) support you all gave me after Saskia passed away last year - can never thank you all enough for that :grouphug: - that's one thread I must download before close down.

Im already friends with a few from here on Facebook but if anyone else wants to add me, look for Paul Barrow and a nice sunset in the background (plus a hugging daughter in shades!).

Huge thanks to Clive, Chris and Steve for everything you have done with this place and to all the other moderators over the years (like it needed much!). It has been great to be part of such a civilised and easy going forum. I'll definitely be here until the final days (if only to see if Penny smashes her target on JustGiving... Might even post my page up and see if I can grab some of the action too!!! :D  )

Thanks again everyone

What a shame- it's been a very friendly, funny and informative corner of the intertelly. Is it not worth migrating to a Facebook page? Infrastructure costs nil, admin minimal etc etc - just a thought?

In any case, thanks for all the laughs, advice, banter and the put-things-in-perspective moments (Saskia springs to mind). From beginnings with Grant, Rebel posting gay p0rn, barro flying into a tree, and generally seeing everyone grow older, have kids, change cars and even pass away, it's been my favourite bit of the Internet since day one.

All the best everyone. :-(

This was very sad news, but also understandable. But I am sorry to see that the webs most friendly forum is now coming to an end :D

Many thanks to Clive, Chris and Steve who has done their outmost to keep this place going, and who I think also are the main reasons for why this place has been so great :grouphug: And off course many thanks to all the members for their contribution to the same

I can probabely still be found at the tt-forum, should anyone want to get in contact with me for any reason.

Thanks again everyone - and keep safe and sound. All the best wishes from me, and you will all be missed.....

aU does already have a facebook page. Not sure if that is going to remain or not though... Six? RC, anyone... will the facebook page be staying or going?

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I've been on here since the beginning but never been a prolific poster. I didn't see this coming; I still read most of the threads but have been feeling increasingly that there is just a small band of regular posters who remain.

It's been an interesting ride over the years and it's sad that it has to end but better this way than a slow decline into oblivion.

Many thanks to Clive, Chris and Steve and all others who have helped out with the Admin work and kept a tight ship.

I am not sure what to add to what's already been said. ie not suprised, fully understand, bloody shame, freindliest forum, HUGE thanks to Clive, Chris and Lemon Eye Steveo.

We met some great people along the way, both interwebby wise and in person. But as they say.............actually, WTF does one say at a time like this :grouphug:

I have been here since " before" the start and have been suprised and delighted by many of you along the way. I am really glad that I met a good few of you and it was great to be just a small part of things... I'm not sure how many of us where in the back of Womble's VW that night, but it was fun :friends:

Got to say that I'm p'd off now that I could not make the last meet at Silverstone - bloody Mother's eh, who'd 'ave 'em :D

As others have said, I too am on FB (Paul Heffernan - me sitting on a wall with a huge blue sky behind me) TBH I rarely get on there but it would always be good to hear from any of you.

It's been emotional

I can't add much more to that which has already been said; it's not a surprise and I fully understand, but nevertheless, obviously, a great shame. Posted Image

Many thanks to Chris, Clive and Steve and all the other behind-the-scenes workers on the TT-Talk and autoUNITY voyage. :grouphug: :friends:  :no

And excellent contributions from the whole community. :D

Now I'll probably (have to) spend more time on the tt-forum... :crybaby:

I was getting into my car and someone asked, "Can you give me a lift?"
I said, "Sure, you look great, the world's your oyster, go for it."

Sad news indeed, but understand and had noticed it was very quiet here sometimes.

Unfortunately not been around so much myself recently, just been really busy.

It was great few years since I became a member :icon_cheers:

:sign_goodluck: to everyone if we don't speak again, I'm sure I'll come across some of you again on the car ownership journey and I'm still active on TT Forum.

Guilty as charged !

Sorry. I don't go on many forums now but this has to be the most friendly

Good effort to all involved but understand the reasons.
