I thought I might go along to this - I've not been to the Goodwood motor show before.
I've just ordered some tickets for the preview day on Thursday 11 July - not only because some (most?) are available free but I reckoned it should be a quieter day, and should give a good taster of the weekend.
Although may not be much quieter if too many people are attracted to free entry!
I do like the Goodwood set-up (apart from the crowds).
More than 20 new car manufacturers have already confirmed their participation in the 2013 event, with all exhibition spaces sold out by the end of February. Expect to see UK debuts and new model launches from manufacturers as diverse as Skoda, Peugeot, Lexus and Porsche.
The cars will undertake hundreds of runs on a special evaluation route that includes the world famous Goodwood hill climb, following in the wheel tracks of celebrated racing drivers from Sir Stirling Moss to Sebastian Vettel.
All visitors to the 2013 Moving Motor Show will also be able to gain free access to many of the Festival’s other attractions including the Cartier Style et Luxe concours d’elegance, the F1, motorcycle and Supercar paddocks, the action sports arena and much more.
