Excellent pics Mr N.

 

I like the 'classic' view of the Spitfire - from underneath.

 

The RAF Mustangs had the Merlin engine so I suppose that was their ticket to join in.

I like the 'classic' view of the Spitfire - from underneath.

 

The RAF Mustangs had the Merlin engine so I suppose that was their ticket to join in.

The American Mustangs used the Merlin too (after finding the original Allinson a bit lacking in ultimate performance), but theirs were built under license in the USA.

 

I went with a couple of mates to 'Flying Legends' at Duxford in the summer and that was amazing, many photos similar to yours, but included some American stuff and even Gladiators and Nimrods!
